Vanessa & Ali’s Park Hyatt Wedding, Toronto

I met Vanessa in high school WAY back in the day, and ran into her again a few years later as a bridesmaid in one of the first weddings I ever photographed! Then funny enough, she is really great friends with my sister-in-laws brother and his wife. Small world huh?!? Having seen me in action at the very beginning of my photography career, I was so honoured when she contacted me to discuss her post-wedding cocktail soiree, being held at the magnificent rooftop lounge at the Park Hyatt, Toronto.

They eloped on the Amalfi Coast ¬†in Italy, and headed back to Toronto to throw a cocktail party for all of their friends and family! Their nuptials took place in Positano, where I had travelled only a few months ¬†earlier on my honeymoon! Too bad that our timelines didn’t add up, because I would have LOVED to photograph them in such a dramatic and beautiful place!!! So I wanted to share a few images that I took while in Positano, just to set the scene for their blog post, and give you an idea of the incredible setting for their wedding day!!!! Insert jealous face here ->.

Ok now that you are all drooling over the spectacular Italian scenery, I’ll bring you back to Toronto. :P Both Vanessa and Ali got ready at the Park Hyatt, and I am sooo glad that we were able to do some portraits in and around the hotel, to get that Toronto-vibe. I am always a sucker for photos, so I wanted to be able to give them some unique pictures to represent the Toronto-aspect of their wedding! :) I knew that they’d already done all of the classic wedding photos and poses in Italy (and told me they were pretty “photoed-out”), so I went with a more urban-photojournalistic approach, and I just LOVE them to pieces! They are such a stunning couple, and I am sooo glad that we were able to be a part of their wedding event! :)
