Andrea & Duane’s wedding at Paletta Mansion, 09-14-14
Andrea is a fellow photographer, and messaged me a few years ago to tag along to one of my engagement sessions to shadow me. We spent a lovely morning photographing a lovely couple at Brickworks in Toronto, and I’ve followed her on facebook ever since, watching her photography grow !! So I was over the moon to hear that she was getting married, and that she wanted me there to capture her special day!!!! :)
Andrea and Duane’s wedding took place at Paletta Mansion, this adorable old stone estate along the Oakville waterfront, converted into an intimate and unique banquet hall. It was a Sunday brunch-style wedding, with a sunny outdoor ceremony on the back patio overlooking the lake. The weather was just beautiful, warm and sunny! Such a treat considering this fall has been quite gloomy!
Andrea did everything DIY, including her cute little jam jars and her centrepieces. I just adored her bright colour palette! Oranges, fushcias, and pale pinks. And some of my favorite flowers too!!! Ranunculus, dahlias, and snap dragons!! YAY!!! :) The bright pops of colour looked gorgeous in the soft muted tones of the dining room, and were certainly a treat to photograph!! I especially loved her cake!!! So soft and pretty, and it tasted amazing as well! :)
Andrea and Duane, thank you so much for having us capture your special day. It’s always especially nerve wracking to shoot for another photographer, so I hope that you love these as much as I do! :) Best of luck in your lives together, and can’t wait to see what the future has in store for you both!!! :P Stay in touch! XOXO
